Loved this. Mental tricks like these are powerful because they break loops.
They shake up our internal autopilot, which most of us mistake for truth. And you’ve laid them out in a way that actually feels usable, not just tweetable.
What I’m exploring is the next layer of this, where tricks become tools, and tools become systems that reflect who you’re actually becoming. I call it Execution Intelligence: Building environments that keep you close to your center, instead of pushing you through other people’s timelines.
You’re right: So much of growth is angle + language.
And so much of "stuckness" is just misnamed energy.
This bit: "That’s because you weren’t tired. You were just mentally drained from doing boring, repetitive crap." Bam, 99% of people right now. But not us, we, the Substack people are the resistance 😉 Thanks!
I use the Ben Franklin one with my daughter when she's angry with me. "Could you help me peel potatoes for dinner?"
It feels like I'm valuing her assistance and input, giving her something else to think about and something for her hands to do. And just like that, distracted from why she was angry in the first place!

This was a sharp and generous share!

I love these tricks Singh, thanks for sharing! You inspired me to write an article on these topics 😁
I'm going to use all these hacks. Reverse psychology & identifying lies are my favorite. Surprised by how these small rephrases change mindset.
This just showed up in my feed, so I have missed two months of tips and reminders. Better late than never, I suppose. Thanks.

Won't be long until they adapt to that 😅
And as they do, I'll be forced to and I suppose that's how we all learn.
@Singh Bhai It looks like you’re being impersonated by spambots.
That's bad, all we can do is block them and hope Substack will remove those spam accounts
I mean you should probably be flattered, I think maybe you've made it when the bots are pretending to be you! 😂
I do the coin thing all the time.
Thank you.
